So what's all this 'rank' business? I assume it's all to do with length of membership.

I had to smile at the phrase 'advanced member' though- conjures up all sorts of images!! BigGrin

Well actually Maria, advanced members are the very intelligent ones.Cool

No. it's just to do with the number of posts you make.
I think over 30 makes you an advanced member so it won't take you long.
Look forward to seeing you in the advanced rank!BigGrin

Hi Guys,

I can change the ranks if you would like, these are just the ones that are set as default.

I am open to suggestions, please let me know your thoughts!

Hi Emma,
I don't like the way there is no "history " to the forum.
All our old posts are gone, although I have now seen the link to them(it was like going back to an old friend) and we are all classed as joining from the date the new forum started onwards.
I don't know if anyone else feels the same?

Doreen xx

Well done Mari!
Advanced at last!ThumpUp

My husband did comment that maybe "Advanced " was not the right word for RA sufferers!

I do't know what an 'Advanced Member' is (though my mind is working overtime!). Can't be to do with number of posts as I'm well over 5,000 but am classed as a 'Newbie'!

I agree with Doreen. It is sad to have lost the 'history' of the forum. I am not at all literate in the workings of web sites so I suppose that there was no option but to set it up as if it is completely new and fresh. I did so like the set up of the old forum as it was so easy to flick from post to post and to see exactly where the new posts were. It is time consuming to keep flicking up and down the page to active topics in order to get on to the next item. Of course, I stand gratefully corrected if there is a quicker way and I am missing something. I had hoped that the old postings would just transfer to a bigger site and we would just continue as before. Naive or what?

As far as I am aware it would have been possible to transfer everything to this site but I suppose it would have cost more.

It's as if our past has been wiped out isn't it?

Exactly Doreen! I didn't want to say anything as it would seem like a complaint when it is obvious that a lot of work has gone into it. However, my fingers are sore going up and down to active posts to change topic. Is there a quicker way?Blushing Confused Confused Confused

Not complaining just asking.
